Our Story

At Drinks Made Easy, we blend island magic with a dash of nostalgia. Our story begins with Ernest Raymond Gantt, better known as Donn Beach, who pioneered the tiki bar concept in the early 1900s. Born in New Orleans, Donn’s travels through the Caribbean and Pacific islands ignited his passion for Caribbean rums and Polynesian art. He opened the very first tiki bar in Hollywood in 1933, captivating landlocked Americans with exotic drinks and island-inspired décor.

Fast forward to today Alexa and Nathan embarked on a quest to create a tropical oasis in Midland back in 2022. When the dream of a brick-and-mortar tiki bar seemed out of reach, Nathan devised a plan: Tiki pop-ups. The first one took place in July 2024.

Together, they’ve created a tiki haven that drifts from luau to luau, leaving behind a trail of paper umbrellas and happy memories. So grab your lei, kick off your sandals, and ride the Tiki tides—it’s a voyage you won’t forget!

Nathan, a drink virtuoso with a penchant for Hawaiian shirts, shakes up tantalizing tiki drinks. From the iconic Mai Tai and the mysterious Zombie, his concoctions transport guests to sun-kissed beaches.

Alexa, the heart and soul of this floating paradise and our creative force. With an innate knack for hospitality and a heart full of aloha she curates the vibrant tiki décor.
